Ok, I played against a Karman buddy Saturday and had a quick question.

He says units with Anti-Grav can't be attacked in close combat. Is this true?

Not that I have any reason to doubt him, but it seems awful tough.

No, it is not true. Your friend is quite mistaken. Units with Jump Packs, Anti-grav, etc. may indeed be attacked in close combat. There is nothing in the rules saying that they cannot.

Yes. The height pin that allows the AFV to change its profile to determine LoS and cover, but it has no effect on Close Combat. If the base of a fighter with a close combat weapon is within 2.5cm of a Karman AFV, that fighter can attack the AFV in close combat regardless of whether or not the AFV is using the altitude pin.

thats kind of rediculous dont you think? A vehicle soaring overhead and my guys can attack it with thier combat knives?

Give me a break, even in a sci-fi setting there should be a certain logic in the way the action in the game is resolved.

A: It's no more "soaring overhead" when using an altitude pin than the average household ceiling.

B: Attacking a 'Trike with a combat knife is about as effective as facing off against a tank with a baby's squeaky mallet. Not going to do a thing. (Pen 3 vs Prot 10 = -7 = Sad Munchy)
